Aftermath appears on split cards. The aftermath half can only be cast from the graveyard.

How it works

• An aftermath card has two halves. You cast the top half from your hand like a normal spell.
• The bottom half has aftermath: you can cast it only from your graveyard, and only once.
• After an aftermath half resolves, it is exiled instead of going back to the graveyard.

Rules notes

• The two halves are separate spells with separate mana costs and mana values.
• You cannot cast the aftermath half from hand; it must be cast from the graveyard.
