Alliance

Keywords · beginner

Alliance is an ability word. A permanent with alliance triggers whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control.

How it works

• Alliance abilities read "Whenever another creature you control enters the battlefield, [effect]."
• Each creature entering causes a separate trigger.

Rules notes

• The alliance permanent's own entrance does not trigger it; only other creatures do.
• Creatures entering as tokens or being put onto the battlefield count, not just creatures cast.
