Annihilator
Keywords · intermediate
Annihilator N punishes an opponent for being attacked. Whenever a creature with annihilator attacks, the defending player sacrifices N permanents.
How it works
- The trigger fires when the creature is declared as an attacker, before blockers.
- The defending player chooses which N of their permanents to sacrifice.
- This happens whether or not the creature is later blocked.
Rules notes
- The defending player chooses what to sacrifice, so they will usually keep their best permanents.
- If the player has fewer than N permanents, they sacrifice as many as they can.
- Annihilator appears mostly on Eldrazi creatures and is a very fast clock.
