Assist

Assist lets another player chip in mana for your spell. As you cast a spell with assist, another player may pay part of its generic cost.

How it works

• While you are paying for the spell, you may ask any other player to pay some or all of the generic mana.
• You still control and cast the spell; the other player only helps with mana.

Rules notes

• Assist only covers generic mana, not colored requirements.
• It is a multiplayer-focused mechanic, useful for political deals in formats like Commander.
