Bargain
Keywords · beginner
Bargain is an optional additional cost. As you cast a spell with bargain, you may sacrifice an artifact, enchantment, or token.
How it works
- If you sacrifice a qualifying permanent, the spell was "bargained" and gains an extra effect described in its rules text.
- A token works well as bargain fuel because sacrificing it costs you little.
Rules notes
- Whether the spell was bargained is locked in as it is cast, and copies and counters see that state.
- Bargain is an additional cost; it does not change the spell's mana value.
