Behold

Keywords · beginner

To behold a [type] is to show or point to a permanent or card of that type to satisfy a condition.

How it works

• "Behold a Dragon," for example, is satisfied if, as you cast the spell, you reveal a Dragon card from your hand or choose a Dragon you control.
• Beholding usually unlocks a bonus or a reduced cost on the card.

Rules notes

• Beholding does not use up the card or permanent; you only reveal or choose it.
• If you cannot behold the required type, you simply do not get the behold bonus.
