Blitz is an alternative cost that turns a creature into a one-turn attacker with a payoff. You may cast a creature with blitz for its blitz cost.

How it works

• A creature cast with blitz gains haste and "When this creature dies, draw a card."
• At the beginning of the next end step, you sacrifice it. That sacrifice causes it to die, so you draw a card.

Rules notes

• Blitz is similar to dash, but the creature is sacrificed rather than returned to hand, and you draw a card from its death.
• Enters-the-battlefield abilities still trigger when a creature is cast with blitz.
• Blitz is an alternative cost; the creature's mana value is unchanged.
