To clash with an opponent is a top-of-library comparison.

How it works

• Both you and the opponent reveal the top card of your library.
• Each player decides whether to keep their revealed card on top or move it to the bottom.
• You win the clash if your revealed card has a higher mana value than the opponent's.

Rules notes

• Winning or losing a clash usually grants a bonus or extra effect printed on the card.
• A land has mana value 0, so revealing a land usually loses the clash.
