Connive
Keywords · beginner
To connive is to dig for cards and possibly grow a creature.
How it works
- When a creature connives, draw a card, then discard a card.
- If you discarded a nonland card this way, put a +1/+1 counter on the conniving creature.
- "Connive N" repeats this: draw N, discard N, and add a counter for each nonland card discarded.
Rules notes
- Connive lets you filter your hand: keep what you want, pitch the rest, and bank a counter for pitching spells.
- Discarding a land gives no counter, but it still smooths your draws.
