Craft

Keywords · advanced

Craft transforms an artifact by spending other cards as materials. It reads "Craft with [materials] [cost]."

How it works

• Craft is an activated ability, usually usable only at sorcery speed.
• To activate it, pay the cost and exile the permanent itself plus the listed materials (cards from your graveyard, other permanents you control, or cards in exile, depending on the card).
• The permanent returns to the battlefield transformed, as its back face.

Rules notes

• The crafted permanent comes back as a new object, so it enters fresh and triggers enters-the-battlefield abilities.
• The exact materials a craft ability accepts are spelled out on the card.
