Dash
Keywords · beginner
Dash is an alternative cost that trades permanence for speed. You may cast a creature with dash for its dash cost.
How it works
- A creature cast for its dash cost gains haste, so it can attack the turn it enters.
- At the beginning of the next end step, you return that creature to its owner's hand.
Rules notes
- Dash lets a creature attack immediately and dodge sorcery-speed removal, since it leaves play at end of turn.
- The creature's enters-the-battlefield abilities still trigger when it is cast with dash.
- Dash is an alternative cost; the creature's mana value is unchanged.
