Demonstrate copies a spell for you and shares a copy with an opponent. It reads "Demonstrate."

How it works

• When you cast a spell with demonstrate, you may copy it. If you do, choose an opponent.
• That opponent also copies the spell. Both you and the chosen opponent get a copy and choose new targets for it.

Rules notes

• Demonstrate is optional, but if you copy, the opponent's copy is mandatory.
• The copies are created by the trigger, not cast, so they do not trigger "when you cast" effects.
• It is a political mechanic: useful for striking deals at a multiplayer table.
