Dethrone

Dethrone ganging up on the leader. Whenever a creature with dethrone attacks the player with the most life, or tied for the most life, put a +1/+1 counter on it.

How it works

• When the dethrone creature is declared as an attacker, check who it is attacking.
• If that player has the most life at the table (or is tied for most), the creature gets a permanent +1/+1 counter.

Rules notes

• The life total is checked as the trigger resolves, not when attackers are declared.
• In Commander, dethrone creatures grow quickly as they keep pressuring whoever is ahead.
• Attacking a player who is not the life leader gives no counter.
