Emerge lets you cast a creature by sacrificing another creature. It reads "Emerge [cost]."

How it works

• You may cast a creature with emerge by paying its emerge cost and sacrificing a creature.
• The emerge cost is reduced by the sacrificed creature's mana value, so emerging off a big creature is cheap.

Rules notes

• Emerge is an alternative cost; the creature's mana value stays as printed.
• The sacrifice happens as part of casting, so the sacrificed creature's death triggers go on the stack above the emerging spell.
• The cost reduction applies to generic mana and cannot reduce colored requirements.
