Escape

Keywords · intermediate

Escape lets you cast a card from your graveyard. It reads "Escape [cost], Exile N other cards from your graveyard."

How it works

• You may cast a card with escape from your graveyard by paying its escape cost and exiling the stated number of other cards from your graveyard.
• Many escape creatures enter with a bonus (such as +1/+1 counters) if they escaped.

Rules notes

• Casting via escape is a normal cast: cast triggers fire and the spell can be countered.
• Escape competes with your other graveyard mechanics for fuel, since exiling cards empties the graveyard.
