To fight means two creatures each deal damage equal to their power to the other.

How it works

• When a spell or ability has two creatures fight, each deals damage equal to its power to the other, simultaneously.
• This is not combat damage. It happens outside of combat and uses no attackers or blockers.

Rules notes

• Because fighting deals damage, deathtouch and damage-based effects apply, but it is not combat damage, so lifelink-on-combat or "deals combat damage" triggers do not key off it.
• If one creature leaves play before the fight resolves, the remaining creature usually deals no damage and takes none.
• A creature with 0 power deals no damage when it fights.
