Incorporate

Incorporate is digital-only: it appears on MTG Arena / Alchemy cards and does not appear in paper Magic.

How it works

• Incorporate is granted to a card in your hand by another card's ability, worded as "that card perpetually incorporates {W}" (or a similar mana symbol).
• The same effect also grants the card a new ability, printed as "and gains '[ability text]'," usually a trigger that fires "When you cast this spell."
• Cards that grant incorporate typically also pay off multicolored spells afterward: Scrutiny of the Guildpact buffs multicolored creatures, Lurking Spinecrawler and Construction Arsonist trigger off casting a multicolored spell, and Guildpact Greenwalker gives multicolored creatures ward {2} -- consistent with incorporate adding a color to the target card.

Rules notes

• The incorporated mana can be a single colored pip ({W}, {U}, {R}) or a colored pip bundled with generic mana ({1}{B}, {1}{G}), depending on which card grants it.
• Both the added mana symbol and the added ability are described as "perpetual" in the printed text, meaning they're written to stick to that specific card going forward rather than applying just once.
