Intimidate

Keywords · intermediate

Intimidate is an evasion ability. A creature with intimidate can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and creatures that share a color with it.

How it works

• Intimidate changes which creatures are allowed to block this one.
• A colorless intimidate creature can only be blocked by artifact creatures, since it shares a color with nothing.
• A multicolored intimidate creature is harder to block the more colors it has, because a blocker only needs to share one of them.

Rules notes

• Intimidate has been discontinued in new sets. It was effectively replaced by menace, which is simpler and doesn't depend on color.
• Like all evasion, intimidate only matters in combat. It does not protect the creature from targeted removal.
