Kinship

Keywords · intermediate

Kinship is an ability word. A creature with kinship checks the top of your library each upkeep for a creature of a shared type.

How it works

• At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library.
• If it shares a creature type with the kinship creature, you may reveal it. If you do, the kinship ability happens.
• Whether you reveal or not, the card stays on top of your library.

Rules notes

• Kinship rewards tribal decks, where many cards share a creature type.
• Looking at the card and revealing it are both optional.
