To learn gives you a choice between fetching a Lesson and looting.

How it works

• When you learn, choose one:
• Reveal a Lesson card you own from outside the game (your sideboard) and put it into your hand, or
• Discard a card, then draw a card.

Rules notes

• The Lesson option only works in formats that allow a sideboard. In Commander, there is no sideboard to learn from, so you take the discard-and-draw option.
• Learn lets a deck tutor for situational Lesson cards without maindecking them.
