Level Up
Keywords · intermediate
Level up lets a creature improve over time by gaining level counters. It reads "Level up [cost]."
How it works
- Level up is an activated ability: pay its cost to put a level counter on the creature. It can only be activated at sorcery speed.
- The creature's card has level bands that set its power, toughness, and abilities based on how many level counters it has.
Rules notes
- Level counters are permanent, so a leveler keeps its progress through the game.
- You can level up multiple times in a turn if you can pay the cost each time.
