Offering lets you cheat a creature into play by sacrificing another. It reads "[Subtype] offering," such as "Demon offering."

How it works

• You may cast a card with offering any time you could cast an instant.
• As you do, you sacrifice a permanent of the named subtype. The sacrificed permanent's mana cost reduces the offering card's cost.
• The offering card is still cast as a spell and resolves normally.

Rules notes

• Casting via offering changes the timing (instant speed) and reduces the cost, but it is still a normal cast. Cast triggers fire.
• The cost reduction comes from the sacrificed permanent's mana cost, applied to generic mana.
