Offspring

Keywords · beginner

Offspring lets a creature bring a small copy of itself. It reads "Offspring [cost]."

How it works

• As you cast a creature spell with offspring, you may pay the offspring cost as an additional cost.
• If you do, when the creature enters the battlefield, create a 1/1 token copy of it.

Rules notes

• The token is a 1/1 regardless of the original creature's printed power and toughness, but it keeps the creature's other characteristics and abilities.
• Whether offspring was paid is locked in as the spell is cast.
