Reconfigure

Reconfigure appears on Equipment creatures. It lets the card attach to another creature or stand on its own. It reads "Reconfigure [cost]."

How it works

• A reconfigure card enters as an Equipment creature.
• Activate reconfigure to attach it to another creature you control. While attached, it is an Equipment and not a creature.
• Activate reconfigure again to unattach it, turning it back into a creature.

Rules notes

• Reconfigure can be activated at sorcery speed.
• Because it is a creature when unattached, it can be removed by creature removal, but it is also safe from artifact removal aimed at "Equipment" only while it is a creature.
• An Equipment attached via reconfigure does not fall off if the host dies; it simply becomes a creature again.
