Riot gives a creature a choice as it enters. It reads "Riot."

How it works

• As a creature with riot enters the battlefield, choose: it enters with a +1/+1 counter, or it gains haste.
• Haste lets it attack right away; the +1/+1 counter makes it permanently bigger.

Rules notes

• The choice is made as the creature enters; riot is a replacement effect, not a trigger.
• Pick haste when you need damage now, and the counter when you want lasting board presence.
