Seek

Seek is digital-only: it appears on MTG Arena / Alchemy cards and does not appear in paper Magic. It reads "seek [criteria] (To seek a card, put one at random from your library into your hand.)"
How it works
- To seek a card, you put one at random from your library into your hand.
- The card is picked from among the cards in your library that match the stated criteria, such as a creature type, a mana value cap, or a card type.
- Some seek effects have branching criteria based on the game state, such as "If you have no land cards in your hand, seek a land card and a nonland card. Otherwise, seek two nonland cards."
Rules notes
- Seeking puts the card straight into your hand; the reminder text says "put," not "draw," so it isn't a draw for effects that specifically key off drawing a card.
- Because the card is random among everything that qualifies, you don't get to choose which matching card you receive.
