Shuffle
Keywords · beginner
To shuffle a library means to randomize the order of its cards.
How it works
- Shuffling happens after most library searches, and as a direct instruction from many effects.
- After a shuffle, no player knows the order of the cards.
Rules notes
- If you put a card on top of your library and then shuffle, that card is randomized into the deck.
- An effect that says "search, then shuffle" requires the shuffle even if you found nothing.
- Effects that let you look at or arrange the top of your library lose track of those cards once the library is shuffled.
