Spectacle

Keywords · beginner

Spectacle is an alternative cost that rewards aggression. You may cast a spell with spectacle for its spectacle cost if an opponent lost life this turn.

How it works

• If any opponent has lost life earlier in the turn, you may pay the spectacle cost instead of the spell's mana cost.
• The spectacle cost is usually lower, so dealing early damage makes the spell cheaper.

Rules notes

• Any life loss counts, including combat damage, noncombat damage, or paying life.
• Spectacle is an alternative cost; the spell's mana value is unchanged.
