Unleash offers a trade-off as a creature enters: a +1/+1 counter, at the cost of being unable to block.

How it works

• As a creature with unleash enters the battlefield, you may have it enter with a +1/+1 counter on it.
• A creature with a +1/+1 counter on it can't block.

Rules notes

• The choice is made as the creature enters. If you decline the counter, the creature can block normally.
• If the +1/+1 counter is later removed, the creature can block again, since the restriction depends on having a counter.
