Warp
Keywords · intermediate
Warp is an alternative cost that lets you cast a card cheaply now, at the price of it getting exiled at end of turn with a chance to cast it again later.
How it works
- Warp [cost] lets you cast the card from your hand for that cost instead of its mana cost.
- If you paid the warp cost, the permanent it becomes is exiled at the beginning of the next end step.
- Its owner may cast it again from exile on a later turn, for as long as it stays there.
Rules notes
- Casting for the warp cost follows the normal rules for alternative costs, so the card is still cast and cast triggers still fire.
- A card sitting in exile from warp is called "warped." Some effects check whether a spell "was warped this turn," meaning it was cast for its warp cost that turn.
